<p>These rugged shorts are made for single-track mountain biking but work great for general outdoor activities such as trekking and mountaineering.</p> <p>The shorts are made in a flex1 softshell fabric, and we use this because it offers excellent movement, durability, windproofness, and high breathability.</p> <p>The fabric is a highly durable 160D double weaved flex1 fabric (251g/m2) consisting of 91% recycled nylon and 9% elastane. This heavy-duty quality is excellent for demanding activities that require optimal mobility and breathability. In addition, it is treated with PFC-free DWR to provide extra water repellency.</p> <p>Key features include a Custom-fit waist system, a gusseted crotch for reduced bulk and chafing against the saddle, two hand pockets where one rooms a goggle wipe, a zippered thigh pocket, and a silicon grip in the waistband to keep the pants in place. They also have zip ventilation with mesh lining on the side.</p> <p>The shorts have a regular fit with articulated legs and a higher waist for extra protection. The shorts are compatible with knee protection.</p>
